BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A former neighborhood bar is set to reopen under new ownership in May.
IceHouse Tap Room formerly known as the IceHouse is scheduled to open either in the first or second week of May. The previous owners closed the bar in February, according to the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report.
Owner Anthony Gallo, who also owns Cadillac Cafe, said the bar won’t have major changes aside from minor cosmetic work. To become the owner, Gallo created a new corporation and signed a new lease in March.
Gallo said he wanted to increase the bar’s draft selection, and the bar will offer 32 taps. The tap room will be open seven days a week, and open for lunch at 11 a.m. To help create a “Sunday Funday” atmosphere, Gallo said the bar will have live music scheduled two to three days a week.
