Coroner: Woman found in parking lot died from gunshot wounds

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The autopsy results for the woman found dead in a parking lot were released Friday.

34-year-old Jemina Williams died from multiple gun shot wounds to her head and chest, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office.

The Baton Rouge Police Department were called out Thursday morning to North Street near North 26th Street after callers reported a woman was discovered lying half-clothed in the parking lot.

Medics were dispatched to the area and pronounced Williams dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing as homicide detectives try to find out what happened to her.
