ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) - A man wanted for murder turned himself in to Zachary police Thursday evening.
Police say 18-year-old Larry Murray shot and killed 20-year-old National Guard soldier Matthew Trahan Wednesday night on Uncas Street, just north of Mohican.
The shooting happened around 6:15 p.m.
Police say Trahan, who is from Scott, Louisiana, apparently gave Murray a ride in his car.
That's when police say Murray shot Trahan and robbed him.
We're told Trahan was scheduled to ship out to Thailand in the next few weeks.
