Alexandria Man Arrested in LaSalle Child-Porn Investigation

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - An Alexandria man has become the second person arrested in connection with the ongoing child pornography investigation surrounding Richard Franklin of Tullos.

LaSalle Parish deputies say 33-year-old Bobby Odom was taken into custody at his apartment was searched by sheriff's deputies, state police and FBI personnel.

Odom was arrested without incident on 16 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile and eight counts of sexual battery.

Authorities say Odom lived in the Tullos area during the time Odom, Franklin and others are suspected of participating in computer-related child pornography.

Franklin has been booked with more than 720 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles and more than 20 counts of aggravated incest.

He had already been imprisoned about a month on two child molestation charges.
