Carmen Taffi

Carmen Taffi left the stage to come to tv when she joined KALB in May 2024 as a reporter/multimedia journalist. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre with a minor in journalism at Louisiana Christian University, where she anchored and reported on the Wildcats Media team.

She wasn't behind the camera for long when she moved on to the tv in February of 2025 to join the Jambalaya team as the morning reporter. Carmen is also the host of 'Daybreak Headlines', a weekday streaming newscast airing at 7 a.m. on KALB.com and streaming platforms. 'Daybreak Headlines' has stories from Cenla that you may have missed and a look at your weather.

Carmen is very passionate about delivering your community stories in a way that highlights your events, local businesses or personal achievements.

Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Carmen moved to Pollock, Louisiana, in the second grade. She was active in theatre and dance her whole life and has a passion for being under the bright lights. In her spare time, you can find her doing activities she enjoys, like reading and knitting. Carmen also has a cat named Greg, who keeps her on her toes at all times. Because of her passion for dance, she is an instructor at Cindy Seaton Dance Academy, teaching tiny humans how to dance.
