Entergy Louisiana offers $100 bill credits starting Oct. 28
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Struggling to keep up with higher household costs could get a little easier for thousands of Entergy Louisiana customers this week.
Entergy Louisiana is launching a $2 million bill assistance program offering a one-time $100 bill credit, funded by shareholder dollars.
Applications open Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. through United Way partners while funds last.
The program covers customers living below the federal poverty level and ALICE households who earn above poverty level but below the cost of living in their parish.
“This bill credit is one more way we’re stepping up to support the communities we serve during a time when everyday costs are on the rise,” said Nyka Scott, Entergy Louisiana customer service vice president.
Customers can apply online through the United Way serving their parish.
Applicants will need a photo ID and income documentation for each earner age 18 or older, such as a 2025 tax return first page, W-2, recent pay stub or Social Security benefit letter.
