Remains identified as man missing since 2021 in St. Helena Parish
ST. HELENA PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Deputies in St. Helena Parish said they have found the remains of a man missing since 2021.
According to the St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office, Keith Madison Sr.’s remains were discovered in a wooded area off of Hall Road and Lindsey Road in early May.
Deputies said the remains were sent to the LSU Faces Lab, which then submitted a DNA sample to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab. Officials said the results came back and showed the remains were for Madison.
The manner of death for Madison is still undetermined, according to St. Helena Parish Sheriff Clay Chutz. He added that he has asked Louisiana State Police to assist the St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
