BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Looking for a fun way to kick off 2026? There are multiple New Year’s Eve events happening in the greater Baton Rouge area for both adults and kids.

Red Stick Rising

Baton Rouge’s New Year’s Eve tradition for kids, Red Stick Rising, is happening from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the River Center Library and Town Square. There will be art activities, an Auld Lang Syne sing-along, the Amazing Bacon stilt walker, and more.

The Red Stick Rises at noon. This is a free family-friendly event.

Noon Years Eve

The Knock Knock Children’s Museum is hosting its annual Noon Year’s Eve event for children on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The event is happening from 10 a.m. until noon. There will also be fun hands-on activities for children, such as kazoo making, goal reflections, and making specialty headbands and crowns. The event ends with a balloon and confetti countdown to noon and 2026.

The museum is located at 1900 Dalrymple Drive in Baton Rouge. The event is free for members and $15 regular admission for non-members. Children under 2 years old are free.

Red Stick Revelry Celebration

Ring in the new year with live music and fireworks at the Red Stick Revelry’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration. The free public event is happening from 8 p.m. until midnight at the Davis Rhorer Plaza in downtown Baton Rouge on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Michael Andre Moreau hosts the event. Press 1 for English and After 8 will perform, followed by a countdown to midnight and fireworks over the Mississippi River.

L’Auberge Casino & Hotel

The L’Auberge Casino and Hotel is hosting a New Year’s Eve Bash featuring the sounds of Downbeat Louisiana. Doors open at 10:30 p.m., and the event starts at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Tickets can be purchased online.

Crown Plaza New Year’s Eve Party

The Crowne Plaza is hosting a New Year’s Eve party on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The Chase Tyler Band and Wayne Toups will perform.

Laughs on the Low at The Tunnel Speakeasy

The Tunnel Speakeasy is kicking off New Year’s Eve with an exclusive comedy show, “Laughs on the Low.” The event is happening from 5:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31. There will be light bites, complimentary champagne, and signature cocktails.

New Year’s Eve with The Michael Foster Project at The Queen Baton Rouge

The Queen Baton Rouge is hosting a New Year’s Eve party on Tuesday, Dec. 31. The Michael Foster Project will perform at 10 p.m.

New Year’s Eve at Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino

The newly opened Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino is having live entertainment from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on the casino floor. Guests will be able to ring in 2026 with a complementary midnight champagne toast. There will also be complementary New Year’s Eve party favors on the casino floor from 6 p.m. to midnight or until supplies run out.

Shaw Center for the Arts Rooftop Ring

The Shaw Center for the Arts is hosting its New Year’s Eve event, Rooftop Ring, starting at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, and continuing until 12:30 a.m. The event is on the River Terrace, the building’s private rooftop event venue on the fourth floor. Souled Out and Carl Mack Productions will provide entertainment.
