18-year-old dies during surgery after shooting on Bartlett Street

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An 18-year-old man died during surgery after being shot in Baton Rouge Saturday evening.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Kendrick Jarmon, 18, was walking in a neighborhood a little after 6 p.m., when he was approached by an unknown male who started shooting at him.
Police said Jarmon was shot multiple times before he ran towards a backyard on Bartlett Street and collapsed.
Jarmon was transported to the hospital but later died during surgery the following day.
The shooter and motive are unknown at this time.
