The organization’s Center of Hope is opening its doors Monday afternoon, January 15, allowing men who need shelter from the cold to remain inside until the weather improves.
According to The Salvation Army, some of the guests could be without the proper clothing, and the shelter will also need to provide meals, snacks, and other items.
The Salvation Army is asking people to donate warm clothing, socks, shoes, blankets, hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and food like water, canned goods, perishable items, and snacks.
Any donations can be dropped off at the Center of Hope. It’s located at 7361 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge. You are asked to go to the back parking lot, and helpers will unload the donations.
