Magnolia ER doctor allegedly rapes patient at hospital; arrest made

MAGNOLIA, Ark. (KSLA) - A doctor in Magnolia, Ark. has been arrested for an alleged rape.

The doctor in question is Jeremy Wayne Saul, 43, of London, Ark. The Magnolia Police Department says the rape was reported March 28, and an investigation began.

Saul was working as a doctor in the ER at Magnolia Regional Hospital when the alleged rape occurred. Police say the victim was at the hospital for some sort of medical treatment when the incident happened.

Saul was arrested May 2; his bond was set at $200,000. According to booking records, he was released the same day.

The hospital says Saul was hired by a third party contractor that works in tandem with the hospital, and that he is no longer employed at the facility.

The investigation is ongoing.
