Firefighter, Meg, and crew rescued the kitten before a little girl took ownership of it and named it Meg. The kitten is currently in good condition.

Later in the night, the same firefighter also had a puppy leap into her arms after arriving on the scene of a wreck. The dog’s owner was involved in the crash. The owners say the dog is fine, but they’re having it checked out by a vet nonetheless.

Meg recommends pet owners don’t hold their animals in their lap while driving, but to instead buckle them in with harnesses.
