WALKER, LA (WAFB) - A kitten's life could have been very different if it weren't for two Walker police officers.

On Tuesday, motorcycle officers Daniel Sylve and Scott Glen noticed the kitten dodging traffic as it tried to cross Walker South Road.

According to the Walker Police Department's Facebook page, the officers rescued the kitten before it was further injured.

While the local veterinarian was examining the kitten, officers were able to find a resident to adopt the animal. The kitten had a broken leg but is expected to make a full recovery.
