Police: Victims shoots armed robbery suspect

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man accused of an attempted armed robbery Thursday night was shot in the process and died early Friday morning, according to investigators.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reported Kylin Spencer, 19, died at the hospital from gunshot wounds.
Sgt. L'Jean Mckneely Jr. with BRPD said the shooting happened on La Margie Avenue around 10 p.m.
He added Spencer and an accomplice were trying to rob someone at gunpoint when the victim pulled out a gun and fired one shot, which hit Spencer.
Police did not release the name of the accomplice or give a description.
The investigation is ongoing.
