Running back Leonard Fournette returned to the field and exploded for almost 300 yards as LSU beats Ole Miss, 38-21, in Tiger Stadium.

Fournette rushed for 284 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns, passing Alley Broussard and setting a new single-game record for the most rushing yards in LSU history.

Fournette is also only one of two Tigers in LSU history to rush 100 yards against Ole Miss in three straight games. The only other Tiger to do so is Kevin Faulk.

Quarterback Danny Etling completed 19 of 28 passes for 204 yards as the Tiger offense had 515 total yards.

The Rebels (3-4, 1-4 SEC) were the first of five ranked SEC opponents the Tigers will face to finish the 2016 season. LSU will have a week off before taking on Alabama in Tiger Stadium on November 5.

Tigers' Fournette ran 76 yards for a touchdown. (LSU 21, Miss 13 - 6:11 2nd Qtr)

Ole Miss' Akeem Judd rushed 2 yards for a touchdown. The Rebels made 2-point conversion. (LSU 21, Miss 21 - 0:11 2nd Qtr)
