9Picks: Could the Tigers, Jaguars and Saints sweep this weekend?

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The home teams are finally back on the field this weekend, and 9Picks believes it will be a sweep.

The Golden Eagles of Southern Miss visit Tiger Stadium, the Jags travel to Jackson State and the Saints host the Carolina Panthers.

Southern Miss (4-2) at LSU (3-2)
The Tigers are back in action Saturday against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. The Eagles come to Tiger Stadium with a high-flying offense and a 4-2 record. LSU played its best game of the year against Missouri, winning 42-7. LSU is ready to get back on the field, and it looks to be bad news for Southern Miss.

LSU vs. Southern Miss: Game Preview and Keys to Victory

Southern (2-2) at Jackson State (2-3)
The Jags hit the road for the fourth time this season, traveling to Mississippi to face the Jackson State Tigers. The Jags offense has come to life, scoring 123 points in the past two games. The Tigers have also won two games in a row after dropping their first three. The Jags offense picks up right where it left off three weeks ago.
Southern 41, Jackson State 27

Panthers (1-4) at Saints (1-3)
Saints have a little momentum after a wild finish to the Chargers game. The Panthers are definitely not the same team as last year, and the injury to Cam Newton only makes the problems worse. Carolina is struggling to get a pass rush, and this will help Drew Brees and the offense win a close one. Going with the home team.

No. 1 Alabama (6-0) at No. 9 Tennessee (5-1)
Tennessee's luck finally ran out in its loss to Texas A&M in double overtime. The Vols are also dealing with numerous injuries as they prepare to host the No. 1 football team in the country. The Vols keep it close through three quarters and then the Alabama run game takes over and starts to wear the defense down. You know the drill.
Alabama 34, Tennessee 21

No. 12 Ole Miss (3-2) at No. 22 Arkansas (4-2)
Arkansas had high hopes of beating Alabama last weekend and the outcome against the Tide was so disheartening that an Arkansas professor was arrested after cursing out head coach Brett Bielema (and a little too much to drink) from the stands. Ole Miss has won two games since their defeat to Alabama. Arkansas will start their win streak after losing to Bama with the Rebels and happiness will once again come to Hog fans.
UPSET OF THE WEEK: Arkansas 27, Ole Miss 24

Missouri (2-3) at No. 18 Florida (4-1)
Missouri's high-flying offense that netted seven points against LSU will face another tough defense in "The Swamp." The Gators are well rested after canceling last weekend's game against LSU. Florida will have a much easier time against the Tigers from Missouri then they would against the Tigers from Baton Rouge.
Florida 19, Missouri 10

No. 2 Ohio State (5-0) at No. 8 Wisconsin (4-1)
The matchups: Ohio State is averaging 53 points per game, while Wisconsin's defense is allowing only 12 points per game. The Buckeyes defense gives up 10 points a game and the Badger offense scores 26 a game. The Badgers offense struggle against Michigan in its 14-7 defeat and the trend will continue against Ohio State.
Ohio State 32, Wisconsin 16

The Tom Herman Watch:
Tulsa (4-1) at No. 13 Houston (5-1)
After a disappointing loss to Navy, the Cougars look to bounce back against Tulsa and they will, in a very big way. Not the week for the Hurricanes to have to play Houston.
Houston 51, Tulsa 24

The Jimbo Fisher Watch:
Wake Forest (5-1) at No. 14 Florida State (4-2)
Florida State is back home after a big win against No. 10 Miami. This game will be a much easier victory for the Seminoles.
Florida State 36, Wake Forest 17
