BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - One of LSU's most anticipated events of the year will be held Friday, September 16 on the LSU Parade Ground.
The LSU Fall Fest celebration is meant to ignite the Tiger spirit in more than 30,000 new and returning students, faculty, and staff.
The event features food and music beginning at 11 a.m. The entrance of the Golden Band from Tigerland, the LSU Golden Girls, and the LSU Cheerleaders will take place at 12 p.m. President F. King Alexander and student government president, Zack Faircloth, will also be on hand to welcome everyone.
Around 1 p.m., LSU will announce the 2016 Homecoming Court and reveal the Homecoming Concert artist.
Following performances by the band, LSU spirit squads, and the Tiger Girls, LSU will host several Greek chapters, student organizations, and independent solo and group performances for the final half hour of the show.
More than 110 tables will be set up, representing various campus units, student organizations, and area businesses sponsoring the event. The tables will provide information, demonstrations, and giveaways, along with games and activities, including University Recreation's rock climbing wall.
