Deputies: Alleged machete-wielding man shot by possible would-be victim

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Deputies arrested an alleged machete-wielding man they said was shot by his would-be victim.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office reported it happened on Jasper Avenue just after 11 p.m.
According to deputies, Concepcion Vega, 33, got into a fight with three others outside an apartment.
The probable cause report stated Vega grabbed a machete and swung it at a man. It added the man then pulled out a gun and fired.
According to authorities, Vega ran off after the shooting and the alleged gunman called 911.
Vega was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a knife. Bond has not been set.
