Below is a list of events related to the death of Alton Sterling that have been scheduled to happen in the Baton Rouge area.

A week-long symposium about Black Lives Matter started Monday in Baton Rouge:

Tuesday, July 12

  • First United Methodist Church is spending the week fixing up homes in a 3 mile radius of the Triple S Food Mart.
  • Together Baton Rouge is holding a lunch gathering of about 200 faith and community leaders to discuss ways of moving forward. The event will be held at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 3912 Gus Young Ave. beginning at noon.

Friday, July 22

  • The Love Revolution "A City United in Worship:" The City Church of Baton Rouge at 7 p.m. at 6871 Cezanne Ave.
