BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Customers at one barber shop in Baton Rouge were given free haircuts for reading to the barber.

Boys from ages 3 to 12 are able to receive a free haircut after reading to barber O'Neil Curtis at O'Neil's Barber and Beauty Salon on North Acadian Thruway.

After their haircut, each child receives a book to take home.

Curtis and the LSU Museum of Art cam up with the idea to promote a museum exhibition. They have been doing this since December and it has been so successful, the barber shop said it will continue to do this ever first Monday of the month starting right after school from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
