SORRENTO, LA (WAFB) - Louisiana State Police released the names of the three people who were killed when the car they were riding in went into a canal Saturday night.

The final passenger was identified Monday morning as Michael Dunns, 22, of New Orleans. The names of the other two people who died were released Sunday. They were identified as the driver, Jashon Butler, 18, of New Orleans, and Donald Allen, 18, of Bridge City.

Troopers said Carleisha Mosley, 18, of New Orleans, was the only person in the car to survive the crash.

The wreck happened on I-10 near US 61 in Sorrento around 8:30 p.m.

Tpr. Bryan Lee with LSP said the initial investigation showed Butler was driving a 2003 Saturn L200 on I-10 West. Investigators have not determined what caused Butler to lose control of the car and go off the road. Lee said the car then hit several trees and flipped, eventually stopping upside down and partially submerged in a canal.

According to Lee, Butler, Dunns and Allen were pronounced dead at the scene by the Ascension Parish Coroner's Office. He added Mosley was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with moderate injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
