BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A lawsuit against Southern University was settled earlier this month.
The trial for a lawsuit alleging hazing in the Southern University band was scheduled to start Monday.
According to Southern University System, there is an agreement in principle. Officials said a final agreement has not been reached, so there are no details on the settlement amount.
Marcus Heath and Cameron Taylor were suing the school and the band's former French horn section leader for what happened in an off-campus incident in 2008.
They accused band members of hitting each other with boards as part of hazing rituals.
