BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Broadmoor High School teacher who is accused of having sexual intercourse with a student has been released on a $50,000 bond.
34-year-old Michael Lydell Woods Jr. was released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Saturday.
Woods, who is a math teacher Broadmoor High School, is accused of having consensual sex with a female student on two separate occasions. He was arrested Friday and charged with prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student.
According to a spokesperson with the East Baton Rouge Public School System, Woods will be on administrative leave with pay pending an investigation.
Woods was hired in 2014 as Broadmoor's baseball coach and assistant football coach.
