BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A sinkhole opened up Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Twin Cedars Street and Seracedar Street in Baton Rouge. It formed from a busted water main running under the road.
For parents dropping students off at Cedarcrest-Southmoor Elementary School on Wednesday morning, be aware that Seracedar Street is closed at that intersection.
The sinkhole is about four or five feet wide. At last report, it appears a water line has burst and water is "gushing in the hole."
The school is located off of I-12, near Airline Hwy.
There is no word on when the sinkhole will be repaired.
