Metro Council appoints new EBR Parish Registrar of Voters

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Metro Council has appointed a new Registrar of Voters for East Baton Rouge Parish.

Steven Rayborn, who has over 30 years with elections, will replace Elaine Lamb. Lamb is retiring after dedicating more than 40 years of service to the parish.

The registrar oversees elections and validates signatures on petitions such as the one to create the City of St. George.

Rayborn starts July 1.
