Standing water, car accidents cause traffic issues in Capital area

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Standing water in Livingston Parish and an accident in Baton Rouge have created traffic issues in the Capital area Thursday afternoon.
Walker Police have reported standing water in several areas around Livingston Parish. DOTD cameras showed water covering the inside and middle lanes of I-12 Westbound near Juban.
The outside lanes of Walker South also have standing water in several spots between I-12 and Florida Blvd, according to WPD. Eden Church Road has been closed due to high water.
Power lines were reported down across Walker North at Hodges. A pole and tree were also reported down across different sections of Hodges.
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Livingston Parish until 6 p.m. Officials advise drivers to use caution.
In Baton Rouge, all lanes were open on I-110 Southbound at Chippewa St. after an accident at Capitol Access closed the interstate for over an hour.
