BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A man was arrested on Friday for his eighth offense DWI.

According to officials, Alex Septh was driving in the 2500 block of Kaufman Street. Septh allegedly backed into a pedestrian, hitting them with the car. Police stopped him afterward and found that he looked intoxicated.

The Baton Rouge Police Department says that Septh was in possession of an open, half empty bottle of gin, and approximately 14 grams of marijuana.

Septh refused to take both a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer test. Records show that this incident marks Septh's eighth offence DWI, and sixth marijuana possession incident.

Septh was booked and is being held on a $113,500 bond.
