BAKER, LA (WAFB) - Police say the body found in Baker Wednesday morning has been identified as a man who had been missing since April 3.
Police say 24-year-old Quentin Jones was developmentally challenged with circumstances that do not allow him to communicate very well.
Baker Police Chief Mike Knapps said Quentin's body was found on Morvant Road by employees with a vegetation spraying company around 9:45 a.m. Today would have been his 25th birthday.
He added the body of a black man was found face down in the water and it appeared to have been there for a couple of days.
The cause of death is unknown at this time and will be released after the autopsy, which is scheduled for Thursday.
