Governor Bobby Jindal says he will wait to make his announcement on whether he will run for president in 2016.

Timmy Teepell, Jindal's Chief Political Advisor, says that Jindal will wait until after the legislative session ends in June. He says he wants to focus on the final session of his term before he makes a decision about entering the race for president.

Today, Texas Senator Ted Cruz officially announced his bid for president and many other announcements from Republican candidates are expected to come within the following weeks.

Jindal does appear prepared to run, having made regular trips to the key campaign state of Iowa as well as traveling around the country speaking about different issues.

Despite that, he still struggles in the polls falling well behind many other GOP hopefuls.
