Creative Cakes by Julie's Tea Cakes

2 sticks (1 cup) Butter (no substitutes!)
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Mix flour, baking powder and soda, then add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk and vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes just until edges turn golden brown.
