BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The movie "Focus" starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie raked in the No. 1 Box Office over the weekend.
It earned $19 million, which was lower than expected, but all movies failed to meet predicted box office.
The Motion Picture Association of America said that "Focus" spend $8.3 million in the 43 days it filmed in Louisiana.
More than $6 million went into pay checks paid directly to Louisiana workers. "Focus" also paid Louisiana businesses for wardrobe, construction of sets and hotels.
