BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge contractor who works on high-end homes has had his license taken away again for complaints against his work.
Roughly a month after having his license revoked in late 2014, Jim Fussell filed suit against the Contractor Licensing Board. Judge Timothy Kelley ruled in favor of Fussell and ordered that his license be reinstated. However, more complaints have surfaced and Fussell finds himself without his contractor's license once again.
Fussell and his attorney stood before the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors because of numerous complaints of shoddy work for homes he was hired to work on and for not paying his subcontractors.
"There are obviously a lot of people who do not like Mr. Fussell and they want to put him out of business," said Scott Frazier, Fussell's attorney. "There have been a lot of half truths and mis-statements. The court has overturned the board before and hopefully will do it again."
