PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Officials say over the past two months Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Detectives began observing drug activity that was happening at a home on Oak Meadow Street in Prairieville.
Detectives conducted surveillance on the home and issued a search warrant based on the drug activity at the house. Deputies found heroin, cocaine, marijuana, a handgun and more than $4,000 in cash.
Two men were inside the home at the time of the search warrant. Jeffery Ricard Jr., 23, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia prohibited acts, and illegal carrying of weapons.
Quanmaine Scott, 20, of Convent, La. was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and heroin, illegal carrying of weapons and two counts of failure to appear in court.
Both were arrested on October 28 and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
