GEISMAR, LA (WAFB) - A man from Utah has been arrested and charged with terrorizing after he called in a bomb threat on Sept. 11 to PCS Nitrogen Plant in Geismar, LA.

Chief Tony Bacala with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office detectives began investigating the bomb threat and learned the cell phone number used to call in the threat belonged to 34-year-old Terry Randal Cox II. Officials say Cox was a contractor working at PCS Nitrogen at the time.

540 employees were evacuated from the property because of the bomb threat.

Cox was arrested Tuesday where he was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. No bond has been set at this time.
