Convicted felon wanted on weapons charge remains on the loose

DONALDSONVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Authorities are searching for a convicted felon wanted on a weapons charge.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to find Jyrah Bringier, 22, of Donaldsonville. He is wanted on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Narcotics detectives reported they were conducting surveillance of a suspected drug deal on September 8 and when they approached the suspects, they recognized Bringier.
They added when Bringier saw them he ran and hid a gun in a nearby car. Chief Deputy Tony Bacala with APSO said a weapon believed to have been hidden by Bringier was found in a parked car in the area.
