TANGIPAHOA, LA (WAFB) - The Tangipahoa Sheriff’s office recently arrested a man for simple burglary of an apartment residence and possession of marijuana.
LeDarrin Walker was also arrested on charges of stolen property and failure to signal. Deputies say on Aug. 8 they were called to the John Monteleone Apartments on Kohnke Hill Road where someone witnessed a tall Black male breaking into an apartment. He fled the scene in a white Mercury Grand Marquis. After searching for the vehicle for 45 minutes, deputies found the car and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver was identified as the suspect and taken into custody. Officials say they found a partially smoke marijuana cigarette and an electronic device that was linked to the apartment burglary. Walker later confessed to the burglary.
