PORT ALLEN, LA (AP) - The voter fraud investigation from the special Mayoral election in Port Allen is gaining steam. Prosecutors want some important documents they believe are part of their investigation.

One of those leading the recall, Larry Profit, has the signatures of all those who signed the recall petition of Councilmember at Large R.J. Loupe which failed.

Officials ordered Profit to turn over those documents, but he is refusing.  The Sheriff's office is asking the judge to hold Profit in contempt.

The hearing is set for Sept. 11.
