BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Three dozen students from 17 agencies proudly walked across the stage Tuesday.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office Capital Area Regional Training Academy (CARTA) held a very important graduation ceremony welcoming 36 students into the law enforcement family.
During several weeks of training, they learned things like how to use a radar and proper firearm use. All things leaders in law enforcement say will help them be successful on the job.
“It’s the way you deal with the situation,” says Constable Reginald Brown. “And if you deal with it with the training that you've been given each of you is going to be successful."
Carta holds graduations about twice a year.
