Lafayette police looking for suspect involved in armed robbery
LAFAYETTE, LA (WAFB) - Lafayette Police are looking for a man who they say shot another man in the leg and forced him to drive him to another location.
It happened on June 25 at about 2 p.m. The victim told police that he was sitting in his car on Magnolia Street when the suspect walked up with a gun and demanded money. The victim says he gave the suspect some money and then the suspect allegedly shot him in the leg. The suspect then forced the victim to drive to the 800 block of Surrey Street then got out of the car.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The suspect is described as a black male, medium build, about 6 feet tall and wearing a muscle shirt.
