PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Investigators have arrested 25-year-old Jitterrance Brown for allegedly shooting two people in a trailer park Tuesday morning.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said it happened in the Lynch Trailer Park on West Lynch Street in Prairieville around 4 a.m. West Lynch is off LA 929 near Airline Highway.

Monique Delmore, 30, was shot in her side and Edgar Westbrook, 41, was shot in the arm. Both were taken to a hospital and are listed in stable condition.

Col. Tony Bacala with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, said Delmore and Westbrook were walking out of their house Tuesday morning when Brown started shooting.

Bacala  explained Brown is the ex-boyfriend of Delmore. Westbrook is her current boyfriend. They all live in the same trailer park.

"Either, two weeks or two months ago, the relationship ended. Certainly, this looks like the motive is jealousy," said Bacala. "It was him going there and confronting the new boyfriend."

Officials said Brown has been charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder, but more charges could be filed. He was taken to the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
