Police looking for suspect who robbed Dollar General store

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police Detectives need your help identifying a man who robbed the Dollar General, 4017 Plank Road.

The incident happened around 2 p.m. Monday.  The suspect entered the business through the front doors and walked around posing as a customer. He then approached the counter with merchandise to check out.  When he got to the cashier, he showed a handgun from his waistband and demanded money. He got an undiclosed amount of money from the register along with some merchandise. He then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet nine inches tall or 6 feet tall,  150 to 160 pounds wearing a blue jacket, khaki shorts, brown shoes with white soles along with a black doo rag.
