Group that helps those with mental illness rallies at Capitol

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, members of a group aimed to empower children are having their voices heard Thursday on the steps of the Louisiana State Capitol.
The 'My Life' youth group, which is part of Magellan Health Care, helps those from age 13 up to 23 with mental illness. It assists them with overcoming drug addiction and much more.
The group will meet with legislators to share their stories and discuss ideas to improve outcomes for Louisiana teens and young adults.
The group will be at the Capitol until 5 p.m.
