ROBERT, LA (WAFB) - Three people were arrested in Tangipahoa Parish on drug charges after allegedly having over $6,000 worth of meth in their possession.
According to the TPSO, 36-year-old Amanda Scalia, Jonathan Goings, and 31-year-old Chasity Heaney were narcotics suspects in a joint investigation involving the manufacturing of meth.
Narcotics investigators found the suspects at the Robert Car Wash on Highway 445 in Robert, La. Officials say at that time, Goings was in the act of searching for money in the vacuum machines at the car wash.
During the investigation, detective were given permission to search Heaney's vehicle. They found an active 'one pot' meth lab, drug paraphernalia, and 5.9 ounces of meth worth a street value of $6,500.
The vehicle was removed from the property, and Scalia, Goings, and Heaney were placed under arrest for manufacturing meth and possession with the intent to distribute meth.
