BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Community college students from across the state displayed their trade skills at the Capitol Wednesday.
It was part of Louisiana's Workforce Experience day, which highlighted cutting-edge programs offered by the state's 13 community and technical colleges. These programs prepare students for high demanding jobs.
School leaders say these programs are critical to economic development. "These programs are an opportunity for people across Louisiana to be able to gain the skills necessary to be viable in this economy and provide for their families," said Monty Sullivan, LCTCS.
