BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Dozens of church leaders rallied on the steps of the Louisiana State Capitol in support of reforming the state's payday loan laws.
Priests, reverends and pastors urged legislators to pass the bill, putting a cap on loan rates and enforcing tougher restrictions.
One leader says the idea is to get payday loans back to what they were originally meant to do.
This was one of several bills dealing with payday loans that was scheduled to be discussed by a Senate committee Wednesday.
