Ascension Sheriff's office needs help identifying armed robbery suspect

GONZALES, LA (WAFB) - Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office need help identifying a suspect who robbed the Advanced Auto Parts Store on Highway 44 in Gonzales on March 8.

According to Lt. Col. Bobby Webre, shortly after 8 p.m., a black male suspect with a low "bob type" haircut wearing a dark cover over his mouth and nose entered the store armed with a black revolver gun in his right hand.

He was wearing a dark short-sleeved shirt with red around the collar over a gray long-sleeved shirt, along with baggy pants faded in the front and dark colored shoes.

During the course of the investigation, the store's surveillance video shows the suspect walks with a limp favoring the right side of his body. He demanded money from the clerk and after getting an undisclosed amount, he exits the store and walks onto Cannon Road towards Roddy Road.
