Murder suspect turns himself in, charged in November death of Travis Harris

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police say the man wanted for first degree murder and armed robbery of Travis Harris has turned himself into police.

The murder and armed robbery happened November 7, 2013 at Kings Court Apartments on Dougherty Drive.

Police say 34-year-old Travis Harris was shot and robbed near a stairwell at the apartment complex. Witnesses tell police that 20-year-old Demonte Foster and another person ran from the scene after the shooting.

Foster has been charged with first degree murder and armed robbery.
