NARIN, LA (WVUE) - A Port Sulphur man faces criminal charges after a hunting accident that left one man dead.
Authorities in Plaquemines Parish booked 18-year-old Wyatt Evans with negligent homicide.
The Sheriff's Office says Evans and two friends had been smoking marijuana before they went hunting Thursday evening. Authorities say as they walked in the dark, Evans fired two shots, after mistaking his friend for a hog.
One man was shot in the head and died. Another was hit in the leg.
