THIBODAUX, LA (WAFB) - A Thibodaux, LA man was arrested Wednesday morning after police say he was "wearing nothing more than his epidermis while yelling at a toddler in the parking lot of a business."

Police were called to a business parking lot where they found 40-year-old Toby Tabor yelling "I am not Santa Claus" at a toddler, but he was not wearing any clothing. It happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 400 block of North Canal Boulevard in Thibodaux.

Thibodaux Police say they still don't know why Tabor was naked. A woman who was with him says Tabor has no history of mental illness or drug abuse.

"He did become very violent when in custody. Officers had to restrain him. He continued to make threats, which forced them to keep him restrained," said David Melancon, Thibodaux Police.

Police say that Tabor was brought to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center "where he eventually put on pants."

He was charged with three counts of contempt of court, probation violation and resisting an officer with force or violence. He is being held on an $11,000 bond.
