BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Atlanta Police have arrested a suspect in a rape that happened on the LSU campus on November 23, during the LSU vs. Texas A&M game.

Albert Carlos Ford, 32, of Atlanta was taken into custody Monday.

Detectives say Ford followed a woman into a portable toilet around 3 p.m. and raped her. The portable toilet was located between the Francioni Hall and the Food Science Building on the LSU campus.

According to LSU Police, the victim said that during the rape, she tried to yell for help but Ford threatened her with violence if she continued to yell.

LSU police collected a DNA sample at the scene of the crime and gave it to Louisiana State Police. Reports say the DNA matched a sample from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

A warrant was issued for Ford's arrest last Thursday. Ford was booked into the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, pending extradition to Baton Rouge.
